There is an Emergency - Why are People Not Running to the Door? CAEF Bulletin November 22, 2020

On November 19th CAEF was proud to present an important webinar, Foreign Funding of Universities, Influencing Democracy and Spreading Antisemitism. The speakers, all experts on this topic, well acquainted with the research data in the US and some of the constraints on data collection in Canada, provided an amazing overview as well as details on the Islamist influence in major universities, the Chinese communist influence and threats to our western democracy. None of their words were cast in rhetoric, speculation or conspiriatorial language. Facts speak loudly. The numbers are astonishing, such as $27 billion from sources like the government of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, China, even Syria and Iran. How can that be? What is the purpose of this funding? What is the threat?

Watch the webinar now, watch the film Covert Cash, read the report. Don’t be naïve about why Jewish students experience antisemitism, antiZionism, threats for supporting Israel.

Can we halt this attack on our values and society’s freedoms?

Thanks from CAEF to our partners and support organizations

A Tribute to Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks (1948-2020)

CAEF did not have the privilege of a personal relationship with the late Rabbi Sacks, but like Jewish organizations and individuals all over the world, we are saddened by his passing. This is a loss expressed by political leaders, faith leaders and people of all backgrounds around the world. We must remember more than the tributes, but the moral lessons, the spiritual path and the many other gifts that Rabbi Sacks bequeathed to us. Our CAEF mission resonates with one of his messages.

The Global Fight Against Antisemitism

CAEF was a co-sponsor of a very important and impressive first, the 2020 Balkan Forum Against Antisemitism. Some of the speakers of the Forum included the Prime Minister of Albania, 6 Speakers from the Parliaments of Israel, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedoni, as well as the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, United Nations High-Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Moratinos and many more senior officials. Lest We Forget— NO Seeking Peace by Hamas or Fatah/Palestinian Authority

Dalit Halevi gives us a good summative article on the history of Palestinian Arab intransigence in the conflict with Israel, in this article of November 17, 2020, published in Behind the News in Israel. Despite or because of the Abraham Accords, the leadership in both Gaza and the disputed territories are knuckling down on their hatred for Israel, their dream of its destruction, their crude campaign of lies and distortions, and in the case of the PA, their promise to pay every last cent to murderers of Jews.

Maurice Hirsch quotes the PA leadership on their commitment to pay-for-slay policy, murdering Jews even if Arabs and other people are also casualties.

If this isn’t inhuman, barbaric, outrageous, intolerable, disgusting, amoral- what is? And the EU and others continue to fund the murderers and support the PA.
