LAWRENCE CHARITON was introduced to Betar in 1973 as countless others were at Camp Betar in Neversink, New York.
Lawrence became Betar Moadon Mifaked of Long Island and attended Machon le Madrichim Chutz L'Aretz in Jerusalem, Israel representing Betar. He is a member of Betar Leadership Hanagha under Barry Liben, Fred Piece, and Gary Segal. Lawrence is the Founder of Great American Jewelry and a Member of Surge Components (SPRS) Board of Directors. He was previously on the Board of Directors of New Island Hospital /St. Joseph Hospital and a former Jewish National Fund Long Island Board of Trustees. He currently is on the Board of Trustees of the State University of Old Westbury Foundation.
