Dear Ms. Gillette,
You must protect the Sheraton brand and the good name of the city of Mesa, and the values of America, which you cannot do if you allow an event hosted by the terrorist supporting Council on American Islamic Relations to meet on your premises. This pro-Islamist organization has already been cancelled by the Hilton in Texas and Marriott in Virginia, presumably because of security concerns. But let's be perfectly clear, their support for antisemitic speakers, and the actions of a terrorist entity like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Palestinian Authority, all of which call for the destruction of Israel and the annihilation of the Jews, is not going to expose your hotel to a threat posed by the Jewish community.
Unlike the vicious and barbaric massacre carried out by Hamas on innocent men, women and children on October 7th which has been supported by tens of thousands of Islamists across America, likewise calling for death to all Jews and the end of Israel, no business or person is under threat of violence by those who love Israel and support the rights and freedoms of Jewish people. However, taking a principled stance against having your venue associated with hatred and bigotry, the defaming of American leaders including the President and his administration, and of presenting an incredible array of lies and disinformation, building a community based on hatred of others, is hardly a business you should choose to be associated with.
We welcome your response and hope you favour the end of bigotry rather than profit from it.
Regards,
Andria Spindel
