For some years, Canada has resumed funding of the UN Relief and Works Agency, which uses Palestinian Authority approved text books that teach hatred of Jews and violence against Israelis. The current government has increased the funding to over $27,000,000 in 2022 and it is expect that and more will be transferred to UNRWA in 2023, which means that Canada is complicit in harming Israelis, supporting terrorism, and rewarding murder. It is not taking steps to condition funding on UNRWA’s satisfying humane standards in relation to educating for peaceful co-existence, teaching the truth and helping Arab children to live normal lives.
In addition Canada has a major role to play in revising UNRWA’s Refugee policy which falsely and ludicrously presents multi-generational Arabs as “refugees” from “Palestine.” This is a total lie and misuse of the term “refugee” and provides for a growing population to be given succor from the donor countries that fund UNRWA, and allows UNRWA to never fulfill its role of settlement agency, facilitating the movement and settling of Arabs who are held captive in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and even in Arab communities in Judea and Samaria. One cannot be a refugee in their own country!! Living in another Arab country ought to lead to at least permanent residency status, but that would mean less donor money, fewer UNRWA employees, less irrational justification for hating Israel.
Canada Must Act to Influence UNRWA Refugee Policy
Canada, must take its leadership role seriously! Canada is chair of the Refugee Policy Committee but has failed to call any meeting since 1991. Why??

CAEF Demands that Aid to PA Must Require Repeal of Pay-to-Slay Law
The Bedein Center for Near East Policy Research recognized CAEF for being the first organization to demand the repeal of a terrorist law rewarding Jew killing. It is an abomination that terrorists are rewarded and treated like heroes by the Palestinian Authority which uses donor funds. Every Canadian should call on the Liberal Government to stop all funding of UNRWA and the PA.
