End Jew Hatred Letter to MPs and Senators regarding a Mezuzah and Message

Dear MPs and Senators,

The grassroots movement End Jew Hatred is sending you and every Member of Parliament and every Senator an important message via Canada Post. This was sent on November 17th so should arrive in Ottawa in a few days.

We are calling on all legislators of goodwill to cooperate in ending Jew hatred. We call on you to advance the process of educating all federal employees and urging all federal departments, corporations, funded entities and partners to adopt and implement the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism.

Every day there are new expressions of this age old hatred, and now our schools are “infected” with it as evidenced by a recent anti-Israel protest at Marc Garneau Collegiate. Zionism is the belief in the right of the Jewish people to a national home in its ancient land of Israel, A LAND THAT WAS NEVER A COUNTRY CALLED PALESTINE NOR CONTROLLED BY A PALESTINIAN PEOPLE. The call “from the river to the sea” is a call for the destruction of the democratic state of Israel and a call for the massacre of the Jewish people. There are NO other meanings to this phrase.

PLEASE OPEN THE PACKAGE WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT, READ OUR LETTER, DEMONSTRATE YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE JEWISH COMMUNITY AND FOR OUR SAFETY, AND FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN IN CANADA.

THIS IS NO SMALL REQUEST. KNOW THAT FEAR IS A FACTOR IN OUR WRITING TO YOU, AS IS OUR JEWISH PRIDE. WE STAND OPPOSED TO ALL FORMS OF HATRED BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY WE STAND AGAINST JEW HATRED AND DEMAND THAT GOVERNMENT ACT NOW!

Respectfully,

Andria Spindel, Executive Director

And

Anita Bromberg, President

End Jew Hatred Canada is the Jewish civil rights movement, fighting for freedom from bigotry, and oppression that denigrates our people, our homeland, our culture. Jew hatred threatens our safety and Canada’s thriving democracy. It comes from all forms of extremism. There is no justice without truth.
