Letter from James Pasternak, Councillor City of Toronto, to Ms Andrea. Campbell, Chief Legal Officer at the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA), regarding the anti-Israel demonstration at Pearson

Dear Ms Campbell;

I wanted to lend my voice to the objections and disgust in the hateful display at Pearson Airport in the attached video.  Pearson staff are constantly emphasizing security at the airport and yet do nothing when an angry mob threatens public safety.

One of the persons involved is known to police as the ringleader of hate rallies at Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue in Toronto.  She has been a community threat in the area for 18 months.  We believe the filming of this hate fest at Pearson is another attempt to demonize Israel and the Jewish community.   It was a disgraceful display and pittiful response. I would expect a full investigation failing which I will respond through Toronto City Council.   Canadians deserve to feel safe at their airports.

Govern yourself accordingly.
