Letter from Richard Sherman, Florida, to the Globe and Mail re: Mark MacKinnon's article promoting a bias against Israel

Dear Letter to the Editor:

For  The Globe and Mail's Mark MacKinnon to promote the calumny that Israel's preemptive self defense against Iran's imminent offensive nuclear capability consistent with its oft stated public goal to annihilate the Jewish people of Israel is just " Netanyahu's addiction to war" is the amoral antisemitic equivalent of Joseph Goebbels billing the Jews for Kristallnacht.

To paraphrase Israeli United Nations Ambassador Danny Danon's speech to the UN on 6/13:

How long did Mr. MacKinnon expect Israel to wait? Until Iran assembled the bomb? Until Iran mounted it on a Shabab missile? Until that missile was en route to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem -- like more than 100 missiles that they sent an hour ago?

When Iran marched toward nuclear capability, Mr. MacKinnon said nothing. When Iran crossed line after line, Mr. MacKinnon drew none of his own.

So Israel acted. Israel acted so that Jewish children in Jerusalem will not wake up to sound of air raid sirens triggered by a nuclear launch.

Mr. MacKinnon fails to recognize that Israel did what the world should have done. Mr. MacKinnon fails to recognize that the Iranian regime violated every obligation they ever undertook. Mr. MacKinnon fails to recognize that Israel has the undeniable right and duty to defend its people from extermination.

Finally Mr. MacKinnon wallowing in the amoral appeasement mentality of Neville Chamberlain is wilfully blind to the fact that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp( IRGC) has declared its official policy is to eradicate Israel to pave the way for the 12th Iman.

He also curiously fails to advise his readers that in the Iranian capital of Iran, Tehran, is a giant clock that counts down until the genocide of the Jewish people of Israel

Clearly one can draw a straight line from the antisemitism of Joseph Goebbels to the antisemitism of Mark MacKinnon.
