Press release on antisemitism by Dean of Dentistry, Feb 26, 2026

Faculty of Dentistry Dean Anil Kishen at University of Toronto posted several images as part of a lecture.  They doesn't have much to do with dentistry, but they have a lot to do with a hostile ideology based on ancient antisemitic tropes of Jews as murderous and money grubbing. Below is one of the altered images used by the Dean in his lecture slides and the original (notice the star of David is whited out.)  The CAEF, Canadian Women Against Antisemitism (CWAA) the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), and many others are demanding action.

CAEF calls for an immediate investigation and accountability for this ghoulish action. The University of Toronto has a long and foul history staring at the ceiling when it comes to antisemitism, from passively tolerating the University College field encampment for months, to the Scarborough College Student Union denial of service to so-called "Zionist" student groups, to the rejection of the internationally accepted International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism.  Now, we have this.  This is not academic freedom; it's gratuitous propaganda.  The university needs to find its moral compass and find it soon.
