VIDEOS - Celebrating Brian Crowley, Defending the Promised Land
CAEF is thrilled to share the highlights of the recent Advocate Award of Excellence honouring Dr. Brian Crowley, Managing Director of the Macdonald Laurier Institute.
The evening's program featured several remarkable speakers including: Barbara Kay, emcee and former recipient of the Advocate Award of Excellence, Israeli Consul General Nadav Zysblat, writer, editor, educator, public intellectual, Rudyard Griffiths, Dr. Brian Crowley, and in dialogue with Brian, former journalist and now City of Montreal Councilor, Leslie Roberts.
The evening acknowledged the importance of strong allies standing with Israel and the Jewish people, but most remarkably, the allies, Griffiths, Crowley and Roberts, spoke of their appreciation and devotion to the Jewish community. All provided personal and professional stories of the rich contribution Jews have made to themselves and to Canada. There was much said about the failure of Canada to live up to its promise of safety, security, equality for all Canadians, in light of the surge of antisemitism, unchecked by any level of government in Canada.
Extraordinary insights, true words of wisdom were offered, not just to the audience present, but to Canadians as a whole. Therefore, CAEF is going to do its best to get these words to decision-makers, media, influencers and academics. Help us share these messages.
Listen and then post, pass to friends, send to your local MP and MPP/MLA, City Councilor. We can all make a difference. YOU can make a difference.
