You are invited to Honour Brian Crowley at the 2026 CAEF Advocate Award of Excellence

You are warmly invited to an evening to honour Brian Lee Crowley, a distinguished thought leader whose work has brought a focus on the critical issues of antisemitism, the Middle East, radical Islam and more to the heart of Canada’s national conversation. 

As the founder and managing director of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, Canada‘s premier public policy think tank, Brian has tirelessly drawn attention to this country’s failure to live up to its responsibilities toward its Jewish population, especially since the terrible events of 7 October.  Through his prolific writing, tireless advocacy, and the creation of MLI’s Promised Land Project, Brian has equally worked to deepen public understanding of Israel—its history, its complexities, and its significance on the global stage—while steadfastly calling out the  hypocrisy, misinformation and inadequacy that too often characterise the response of our political class to the politics and diplomacy of the Middle East. 

His efforts have reframed antisemitism, highlighting it not just as a concern for one community, but as a profound national challenge that goes to the core of Canadian values, the rule of law and democratic integrity. By bringing these issues to the fore, Brian has encouraged policymakers, community leaders, and citizens alike to shoulder their shared responsibility to confront hate and defend truth. 

Please join us as we celebrate Brian's remarkable contributions and renew our collective commitment to the values he champions. The evening will feature remarks from leaders in politics, public policy, academia, and community organizations, as well as reflections on the importance of confronting antisemitism in all its forms.
