Member of Knesset Dan Illouz
Dan Illouz was born in Montreal, in 1986, to parents of French and Moroccan descent. He obtained his law degree from McGill University and in 2009 he made Aliyah. In Israel, he pursued a master's degree in public policy at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, graduating in 2012 and became a certified lawyer.
He joined Likud, where he served as a legislation advisor to Member of Knesset Yariv Levin. He went on to become a Jerusalem city council member and headed the local audit committee. Additionally, he managed the activities of the Zionist Organization of America. In the Likud primaries, Dan was elected to the Oleh spot and earned the 33rd position leading to his swearing-in as a Knesset member on January 9th, 2023.
His political beliefs are centered around advocating for a free market economy, promoting transparency, and reducing bureaucracy. He also supports the decentralization of state powers. Dan supports the careful application of Israeli sovereignty in the territories of Judea and Samaria, supporting settlement with a focus on reducing construction barriers, improving infrastructure, and taking more decisive action against terrorist attacks against Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria. Fluent in English, French, and Hebrew, Dan's linguistic abilities enable effective communication across various cultures.
