CAEF Project, for All Supporters of Israel’s Legal Rights

March was an eventful month for Israel and April seems to be no less.  For an interesting account of many activities of our program affiliate, Canadians for Israel’s Legal Rights, access Highlights here.  There was an historic breakthrough in the Israeli-US relationship initiated by President Trump’s Churchillian brave act of signing an executive order recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.  Read more

Jordan is Palestine

Last week we summarized a recent presentation in Toronto by former Torontonian, lawyer, pundit and author, Ted BelmanHere is a link to a republished article that appears in his recent edition of Israpundit, reprinted from December 2017.  It begins with this quote from a tweet by Geert Wilders, Leader of the Freedom Party in the Netherlands, “Jordan=Palestine. So, the capital of Palestine is not Jerusalem but Amman”.

Antisemitism in Ontario School Project

Following a truly unpleasant antisemitic incident, that was reported widely in the Jewish press but not the mainstream press, Daniel Bordman, an independent podcaster and writer, who is Communications Coordinator for CAEF, wrote the following article.  Read it here

AntiSemitism and AntiZionism Now Documented in Canada

Readers who wish to be alert to antisemitism in Canada and challenge those who teach and preach it, whether as antiZionism or straight up Jew hatred, here is an important new resource.

You will find evidence of outright acts against Jews and soft peddled lies, ancient stereotypical tropes and fatuous Islamist or “Palestinian” claims, alongside what Theodor Herzl called in his 1896 seminal work, The Jewish State, the people “disguised as anti-Semites of Jewish origin.”

This later became defined in 1930 by Theodore Lessing in his book, Juedisher Selbsthass as “Jewish Self-Hatred,” though originally only applied to Jews opposed to Zionism, but today those Jews opposed to Zionism, seem equally opposed to Jewish rights.  Click here for more information on Jewish self-loathing

Geo-Politico-Military Realities That Many Won’t Admit; The West Bank’s Area C

There has been, and will continue to be a lot of misinformation surrounding Israeli issues. Nowhere is that more prevalent than in the views expressed by Western media and pseudo-academics when it comes to Israeli control of Judea Sumeria/The West bank, especially area C.

The following academic paper by Major General Gershon Hacohen outlines the clear reality on the ground from a military and geographical perspective. The area on the West bank of the Jordan river is the mountainous high ground overlooking the most narrow and populated parts of Israel. The General’s explanation outlined with maps and diagrams that any civilian can understand, clearly shows how a Gaza style withdrawal from the area would put 80% of Israel’s population, and major commercial sector, under immediate threat of short-range missiles.

Given the way warfare is trending towards the inclusion of non-state actors, withdrawal or the failure to annex Area C would not only result in terrorism, but any counter terrorism operation will result in high casualties for both sides. For those interested in the real implications of a “two-state solution”, General Hacohen’s research is a must read.  Read it here

Heart Warming, Well Wishing, Nikki Haley in Montreal

Not much has to be said as to why Jews around the world love and feel indebted to former U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, the most honest and courageous ambassador to yet grace the halls of the United Nations.  She spoke recently to a sell out audience at Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue in Montreal, in a conversation with Montrealer, Hillel Neuer, UN Watch’s own hero at the UN.
