The event will feature a screening of an award-winning documentary, a live Q&A with Yonatan, and an introduction to DocuTherapy — a documentary-based approach that uses real human stories to open meaningful conversations and offer practical tools for processing difficult experiences.
It will also include hands-on workshops and practical sessions designed to deepen the experience through mindfulness, reflection, and storytelling exercises.
An Evening of Remembrance and Reflection Wednesday, October 7
Tafsik Organization, the Toronto Zionist Council, and the Canadian Antisemitism Education Foundation are honoured to come together to host the October 7th memorial in Toronto, dedicated to remembering the precious souls taken from us in Hamas's savage attack.
On this solemn anniversary, we gather as Am Yisrael, not only to mourn, but to remember, to bear witness, and to honour the lives and legacies of those whose lives were so brutally cut short.
We will say their names, hold their memories close, and light a flame that darkness cannot extinguish. זכרם לברכה — may their memories be a blessing.
For in every generation, our people have endured, remembered, rebuilt, and risen again.
On this day, we come together to affirm that those who were taken from us will never be forgotten. Their stories will continue to be told, their names will continue to be spoken, and their memories will forever remain woven into the story of our people.
As part of this meaningful evening, we will present "Where Do We Belong", an incredibly powerful new film by acclaimed filmmaker and documentarian Igal Hecht. The film explores the events of October 7th and the profound aftermath that followed, offering a deeply moving reflection on what happened, what was lost, and what it means to carry these memories forward.
We will also be joined by special guests who will share words of remembrance and dedication in honour of those whose lives were so tragically stolen from them.
We gather because we must never be silent. We gather because we must never forget. And we gather because remembering is an act of love, an act of defiance, and a sacred responsibility.
May the memory of every soul taken from us on October 7th forever be a blessing.

CAEF Advocate Award of Excellence Honouring Dr. Brian Crowley Tuesday, October 27
You are warmly invited to an evening to honour Brian Lee Crowley, a distinguished thought leader whose work has brought a focus on the critical issues of antisemitism, the Middle East, radical Islam and more to the heart of Canada's national conversation.
Brian Crowley founded the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS), and the Macdonald Laurier Institute (MLI).
MLI is the premier Canadian public policy think tank, addressing a wide array of national issues and, through the Promised Land Project, the related issues of Middle East conflict, antisemitism and the dangers of radical Islam. Crowley initiated the Promised Land Project on the premise that Canada is a land that has held out the promise of freedom and security to millions around the world and should be held to account for its failure to live up to this promise to its Jewish citizens.
MLI is also the only Canadian think tank with an office in Washington, the Center for North American Prosperity and Security (CNAPS).
Brian Crowley is author of six books, notably Gardeners vs Designers and Fearful Symmetry, and numerous op-eds and research papers. He holds degrees from McGill and the London School of Economics, including a doctorate in political economy.
