Justice for Jewish Women
Since the barbaric massacre and hostage-taking of Jews and foreign nationals on October 7, 2023, many in the West have been silent, denied reality, blamed the victims, called for Israel to show restraint or even end a war that Israel did not start. Along with many governments and NGO’s, womens’ groups in Canada and elsewhere remained silent, some denying the rapes and mutilations of Jewish women. This silence is deafening.
A well documented report has now been released, that references evidence, testimonies and witnesses to this horror. Led by Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari, the Dinah Project is a crucial report that should be delivered into the hands of Women Studies Faculty, Sexual Abuse Centre staff, Ministers for Women and other decision makers.
Read this report and take it to your local MP.

The Emirate of Hebron-a Peace Initiative of Hebron Sheikhs
A group of Sheiks have broken away from the Palestinian Authority, preferring a relationship with Israel, joining the Abraham Accords, and proposing to create a statelet or emirate for Hebron Arabs. This is led by the head of the Jab’ari clan and it is explained in this web talk presented by Hebron’s Jewish spokesperson, Rabbi Yishai Fleisher in conversation with expert Dr. Noam Arnon.

UN Watch’s Victory Serves and Preserves Justice
Read how UN Watch brought about US sanctions against the notorious UN Rapporteur, Francesca Albanese, who supported Hamas, denigrated Israel, trivialized the Holocaust. The justly deserved sanctions against Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur for Palestine, were announced by Marco Rubio, Secretary of State on July 9th. Read about Albanese’ steady campaign of lies about Israel, and the impact of US sanctions. It would be wise for Canada to also issue sanctions though Albanese has rarely come to Canada, she was here a few months ago spreading her vicious anti-Israel poison campuses. Canada should consider taking a moral stand and declare Albanese persona non grata.
Phony Settler Violence Narrative
Watch Avi Abelow, Pulse of Israel on Israel365News speak the truth about the false claims of settler violence, promoted by western media, anti-Israel politicians and Jew hating propagandizers.
South Africa’s Links to Hamas
Read article by Asher Boskin for Jewish Policy Center, April 17, 2025
The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy also recently released a bombshell report identifying South Africa’s alarming ties with Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia. The report highlighted South Africa’s involvement “in the global web of anti-democratic terror financing.”

National Council of Canadian Muslims Proposes a Bill to Deny Historical Truth
The NCCM which claims to represent Canadian Muslims, makes many false statements about Middle East history and Israel, including the following taken from their website: “For 77 years, Palestinians have endured displacement, occupation, and systemic human rights violations. The Nakba, Arabic for “catastrophe”, marks the beginning of this tragedy in 1948, when over 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homes.”
NCCM is now lobbying for further discrimination against the Jewish state and the Jewish people. The Nakba Bill claims to be about justice and peace but of course its entire premise is the opposite. Falsely claiming that Israel displaced 700,000 Arabs in 1948, when the truth is that 5 Arab Armies invaded the newly declared State of Israel, intent on destroying it, committing genocide and fulfilling Hitler’s plan for a judenfrei land, then playing the victim. The Arab leaders told their people to move while they mowed down Jews, and given they expected this to be a short battle, a week or two if not just a few days, the Arabs fled. There is documented evidence that in many parts of Israel, the Jews told the Arabs to stay, welcomed the shared use of land and NEVER declared Israel for Jews only. When the Arabs failed, they moaned their loss and turned it into a tragedy that pervades the so-called pro-Palestinian campaigns to this day. However, truth must be told and it was actually recorded in August 1948, as reported in the Jewish Chronicle (and many sources), that on August 1948,
…”Constantin Zurayk, a Syrian Arab Christian, defined the term Nakba in a book and then a pamphlet written after the Arab-Israeli war, when seven Arab states went to war against the newly independent state of Israel. Zurayk described the Nakba as the catastrophic failure by the Arabs to stop the establishment of the State of Israel, as “Seven Arab states declare war on Zionism in Palestine, stop impotent before it, and then turn on their heels”.
The entire farce presented regularly by so-called Palestinian supporters, Islamists and other anti-historical anti-Zionist entities is that a disaster was perpetrated against the Arab people living in Israel in 1948. The truth is quite otherwise. After the UN voted in 1947 to create the state of Israel and Transjordan, an Arab state, Israel declared independence on May 14th, 1948. The day after, on May 15,1048, five Arab armies invaded Israel and attempted to eradicate the Jewish presence, prevent the full establishment of that state, and essentially complete the genocide which they had signed on to with Hitler. Their defeat constituted a humiliation which was referred to as a “nakba.”
In his pamphlet, “The Meaning of the Disaster”, Zurayk wrote that, “The representatives of the Arabs deliver fiery speeches in the highest international forums, warning what the Arab states and peoples will do if this or that decision be enacted. Declarations fall like bombs from the mouths of officials at the meetings of the Arab League, but when action becomes necessary, the fire is still and quiet, the steel and iron are rusted and twisted, quick to bend and disintegrate. The bombs are hollow and empty. They cause no damage and kill no one”.
Zurayk made no mention of the Palestinians as a people - he defined the Nakba as the self-inflicted wound of the Arabs, not of Israel. (emphasis TheEd.)
The article by Sammy Stein explains that “The politicised hijacking of the term Nakba which bemoaned the absence of pan-Arab unity and castigated Arabs for their failings has become a term of abuse against Israel and is a calculated and continuous act of deception designed to absolve Arab states of blame and condemn Israel for successfully defending itself against attack.”
White House Response to a Letter of Confidence and Gratefulness
Reader Michael Bass shared this letter from the White House in response to his short letter thanking the administration for defending and protecting Israel.

Dear Mr. Bass,
Thank you for taking the time to share your views.
In the aftermath of Hamas’ deadly October 7, 2023, attacks on the State of Israel, our Nation experienced the worst era of anti-Semitism on American soil in generations. Jewish Americans were threatened and attacked on our streets and terrorized on our college campuses—a grave affront to human dignity and a terrible betrayal of our Nation’s most sacred values.
My Administration is proudly upholding the basic truth that anti-Semitism has no place in a civilized society. As President, I signed an Executive Order directing the Federal Government to use all available and appropriate legal tools to combat the explosion of anti-Semitic harassment in our schools and college campuses—including through the removal of resident aliens who violate our laws. We are also steadfastly committed to investigating and swiftly punishing all anti-Jewish racism in leftist, anti-American colleges and universities. Together with secure borders and a foreign policy of peace through strength, we are making our country safe and secure for every citizen.
Under my leadership, we will continue to be a fierce defender of the Jewish American community and a staunch ally of our mighty friend, the State of Israel—and we will never stop fighting to get anti-Semitism out of our schools, out of our foreign policy, out of our immigration system, and out of our country.
Thank you again for writing. May the Almighty bless you, and may He continue to bless the United States of America.
Sincerely,

But, like an out of control child, the major Jewish organizations need a time out. Without an intervention of some sort, the Jewish community risks having future dictionaries defining 'anti-Semitism' as 'a movement for justice and equality.'"

Indigenous Leaders Denounce Kneecap, Call for Canceling CanadianTour: The Statement was endorsed by indigenous Embasssy Jerusalem, Allied Voices for Israel and Canadian Antisemeitism Education Foundation

Grand Chiefs say the band, which has openly supported terrorist groups, violates treaties between Indigenous communities and the Canadian government
We, Indigenous and First Nations leaders representing communities across Canada, are writing to express our deep concern regarding the upcoming October performances by the Irish band Kneecap at History (Toronto) and the Vogue Theatre (Vancouver).
These venues are located on the ancestral homelands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples in Toronto, and the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations in Vancouver.
Out of respect for Indigenous communities and the lands where these events are scheduled to take place, we are asking that both Live Nation and the Vogue Theatre’s operator, the MRG Group, refuse to provide Kneecap with a space to openly promote discrimination.
Kneecap has outwardly supported antisemitism, genocide, and the indiscriminate murder of civilians. Allowing them to play in Canada would be a stain on our country’s reputation.
Our concerns are grounded not only in the band’s recent performances at Glastonbury and Coachella, which included messaging that incited hate and bigotry, but also in publicly available videos and images where band members have expressed support for groups that Canada recognizes as terrorist organizations, including Hamas and Hezbollah. They are not promoting activism, but propagating violence, terror, murder, and hatred.
Under Section 83.03 of the Canadian Criminal Code, it is a criminal offense to promote hate or support terrorist organizations, either directly or indirectly—including the glorification or symbolic endorsement of such groups.
By allowing Kneecap to perform on Indigenous lands, Live Nation and the MRG Group are not only endorsing rhetoric that promotes division, hate, and glorification of terror—they are violating the spirit and obligations of the Treaties of Peace and Friendship. These treaties are not confined to government institutions; they govern how we, as treaty partners, must relate to one another across all areas of society.
We urge Live Nation and the MRG Group to follow the lead of several international venues, including those in the United Kingdom and Germany, that have cancelled Kneecap’s scheduled appearances. We call on Live Nation and the MRG Group to demonstrate the same commitment to combating and preventing anti-Jewish hatred, incitement to violence, and the public normalization of hate speech and glorification of terrorism.
At previous Kneecap concerts, anti-Israel rhetoric has been prominent, including chants such as “There is only one solution: Intifada revolution.” This phrase, or variations of it, has a troubling legacy. It echoes language used by the Canadian government in the 1910s and by the Nazi regime during World War II. Its callous adoption in modern settings should cause any Indigenous person, and any non-Indigenous Canadian with a shared understanding of our history, to shudder at its public repetition and celebration.
Hosting a performance that spreads hateful and racist messaging stands in direct opposition to the values these treaties uphold: mutual respect, coexistence, and responsibility to one another and to the land.
We strongly urge you to cancel the scheduled Kneecap performances and to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities, Jewish Canadians, and all those committed to peace, equity, and justice.
Signed,

Jewish-Chinese Relations

On June 26th, the JCC Chamber Music Series featured The Adler Project. This beautifully narrated story, with historic and current images, tells how Jewish refugee musicians, most notably Ferdinand Adler, helped Chinese orphan children learn classical music during WWII. The program included several of Adler’s favourite musical pieces performed by an amazing string quartet. The narration was provided by Feng Sheng, a local translator and son of one of the Chinese children taught the violin by Adler. Besides his father, Sheng’s uncle was also musically trained, and both men went on to be part of the first classical music orchestra in China. Several other children from the orphanage also succeeded in classical music careers. Adler and others have been honoured in China.
This program was a living example of Jewish Chinese synergy, respect, affiliation and is a wonderful introduction to writings by Annette Poizner, CAEF’s volunteer Research Director who has studied Chinese health and cultural practices and initiated a series of writings that acknowledge and celebrate the best of two ancient cultures—Chinese and Jewish.
