Letter from Larry Shapiro, Calgary to the LA Times regarding an article about the Democrats' Left wing's priorities

Dear Editor,

There are other imperatives for the American left wing than economic justice and the humbling of big business, and that is the destruction of Israel symbolized by 100 Progressive Members of the House of Representatives voting to cut all military ties with Israel that if enacted would leave Israel vulnerable to Middle Eastern entities imbued with ending the Jewish state disguised as support for the Palestinians. The opposition to Israel is symbolized by attacks on the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC whose legal activities supporting pro-Israel politicians are being demonized unlike the left's attitude towards any other lobby.

In view of the Palestinian Authority Martyr's Fund that pays monthly pensions to the families of incarcerated or deceased Palestinians who killed Jews, a weaker Israel would result in more Israel deaths. Perhaps this will satisfy those who complain about proportionality, i.e. Israel is too effective in its wars. Abdul El-Sayed and Zohran Mamdani are two of the instigators of this anti-Israel policy and if successful in turning America against Jews will do irreparable harm to America.
