Letter from Richard Sherman, Florida to Chapman University, March 7, 2026 re Zionophobia of Students for Justice in Palestine and their blood libels

Dear Letter to the Editor/Op Ed:

The always anonymous Chapman University Students for Justice in Palestine( SJP) posits the Zionophobic* blood libel of " genocide in Palestine" as if it has anything to do with reality; it doesn't. ("Propaganda Under The Guise of ' Bridging The Gap' ").

Common sense makes clear that where there is genocide there is a dramatic population DECREASE of the population subjected to genocide. A typical example occured from 1933-1945 when the German people subjected the Jewish population of Europe to genocide and reduced that population from 11,000,000 to 5,000,000. A typical example of the dramatic percentage decrease in a population when that population is the target of genocide.

So let's apply that same common sense to Gaza. The World Population Review.com 2026 has documented that the population of Gaza has recently increased 3%.

INCREASED 3%. To put it simply population increase and genocide are mutually exclusive.

Further, nothing demonstrates SJP's  Zionophobic* blood libel of " genocide in Palestine" as succinctly  as the recent writings of Professor Andrew Pessin:

"But first, the "ongoing genocide" of the Palestinians? Is that the one where their population has increased massively since 1948? The Arab population in Israel in 1948 was about 156,000; in 2024 it is 2.6 million. The Palestinian population in the territories in 1960 was about 1.1 million: in 2020 it was about 5.1 million. The Palestinian population in Gaza in 1948 was about 250,000, while in 2024 it was about 2.2 million. In May of 2024 the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics released a report stating that 'the Palestinian world population was 14.63 million by the end of 2023, which means that the number of Palestinians in the world has doubled about 10 times since (1948),' or (more precisely)has increased by 1000% . Worst.Genocide.Ever."

To paraphrase Professor Pessin's final lines here: The above statement tells you that the Zionophobes* of  Chapman University SJP are either ignorant or wallow in malevolent deception." Again the "genocide" lie is a dehumanizing tactic to justify violence against Jews".

Of course like Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels who infamously said - " make the lie big, make it simple, keep repeating it and eventually they will believe it" - the anonymous  Zionophobic *  Chapman University SJP keeps repeating the blood libel of genocide in Gaza hoping that credulous people will believe it.
