Letter from Richard Sherman to the LA Times on Jordan's Illegal Occupation of Judea and Samaria

Dear Letter to the Editor:

In 1949 Jordan in violation of Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, an international treaty, which declares all of what is Israel including Judea, Samaria and the eastern part of Jerusalem to be the reconstituted indigenous homeland of the Jewish people, illegally occupied this land; the “West Bank” and “East Jerusalem” are racist phrases — equivalent to what used to be “Lee Circle” in New Orleans — created by Jordan to obliterate 3500 years of Jewish culture and history.

In Nov 1947 The United Nations in its partition plan for the Jews and Arabs used the nomenclature, Judea and Samaria — not the “West Bank”.

As part of its illegal occupation Jordan ethnically cleansed a Jewish population that had been settled there for 3500 years.

In June 1967 the Jewish people decolonized and RECAPTURED Judea, Samaria and the eastern part of Jerusalem allowing those Jews who had been ethnically cleansed to resettle lands that Jews had been settled on for 3500 years.
