Dear Leaders of Canada,

Will you speak out against the travesty happening at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights in Winnipeg?

This is a country already divided due to Jew-hate and the whipped-up hysteria and venom against Israel.  The Nakba exhibition is a totally one-sided and distorted version of what happened after 5 Arab nations––Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Iraq, together with expeditionary forces from Saudi Arabia and Yemen attacked the UN approved State of Israel in l948.

The Nakba exhibition does not even mention the 850,000 Jews driven out of Arab countries!

It does not address the fact that the local Arabs in the newly declared state of Israel were told to leave by their own Arab authorities in anticipation of returning very soon, in view of the tremendous odds against Israel’s survival.

Those Arabs who remained in Israel, now numbering two and a half million, are free to vote, access healthcare,  have freedom of religion and legal rights.  Jews have no similar rights in Arab countries. In fact, 4.000 Jews, in total, live for the most part precarious lives in Arab countries.

We submit that the way we Jews are being treated in Canada, to the point where we fear we might have to leave, could be labelled our own Nakba, {catastrophe}.

At the very least, another exhibition should be mounted to counteract the total massacring of historical truth in the Nakba exhibition.  And it should be immediately mounted to avert more drummed-up hate against Canadian Jews.

Respectfully,

Ruth Abrams,
