Letter from Ruth Abrams et al. to CBC Ombudsman on CBC's Double Standard re Israel and Jews

Dear Maxime Bertrand,

It is time to address how the tax-supported CBC applies a constant and flagrant double standard in all issues concerning Canadian Jews and Israel by:

1) Not addressing the proven genocidal plight of one million Uyghurs in China. 2) Ignoring the persecution of journalists, and complete trampling of human rights in Turkey. 3) Totally ignoring horrors occurring in Sudan, and the living hell of the women of Afghanistan. 4) Ignoring how Iran slaughters its own citizens. 5) Maintaining a constant focus on Gaza while favouring Gazan journalists who support and not only work for Hamas, but have been proven complicit in October 7’s holocaustal invasion. 6) Most astonishingly, suspending a Jewish journalist who posted his experience of being accosted by a violent group of protesters as he made his way into a Yom Kippur Service in Toronto.

If the tables were reversed, and crowds of masked, intimidating demonstrators continually paraded in front of Mosques on holy days, and kept up a vile presence in Muslim neighbourhoods, how would the CBC regard that situation?
