Dear Director-General Khare:

Re: Charitable Status of the Muslim Association of Canada 880495163RR0001

The Canadian Antisemitism Education Foundation is highly concerned about an incident that took place at the 2026 Muslim Association of Canada annual conference at Exhibition Place in Toronto earlier this month.

At one of the sessions, the message depicted below was displayed on a digital screen, in a discussion about an ideal state for the community in the future. The words “Jew free” were displayed as one desired characteristic.

I am sure you will agree that activities of this nature are wholly inconsistent with the requirements of the Income Tax Act and Canadian public policy with respect to the continuing registration of an entity as a charity. Any toleration by the Canada Revenue Agency of such an egregious act of racism sends a clear message that Jews are second-class citizens of Canada and that discrimination against Jews is acceptable by the Government of Canada.

We respectfully request an immediate investigation into this matter by the Charities Directorate.

Best regards,

R. Michael Teper

President
