Dear Mr. Bass,
Thank you for taking the time to share your views.
In the aftermath of Hamas’ deadly October 7, 2023, attacks on the State of Israel, our Nation experienced the worst era of anti-Semitism on American soil in generations. Jewish Americans were threatened and attacked on our streets and terrorized on our college campuses—a grave affront to human dignity and a terrible betrayal of our Nation’s most sacred values.
My Administration is proudly upholding the basic truth that anti-Semitism has no place in a civilized society. As President, I signed an Executive Order directing the Federal Government to use all available and appropriate legal tools to combat the explosion of anti-Semitic harassment in our schools and college campuses—including through the removal of resident aliens who violate our laws. We are also steadfastly committed to investigating and swiftly punishing all anti-Jewish racism in leftist, anti-American colleges and universities. Together with secure borders and a foreign policy of peace through strength, we are making our country safe and secure for every citizen.
Under my leadership, we will continue to be a fierce defender of the Jewish American community and a staunch ally of our mighty friend, the State of Israel—and we will never stop fighting to get anti-Semitism out of our schools, out of our foreign policy, out of our immigration system, and out of our country.
Thank you again for writing. May the Almighty bless you, and may He continue to bless the United States of America.
Sincerely,
