Re: Gaza City gripped by famine, world’s leading food crises authority says, August 23
Everyday millions of meals and hundreds of aid trucks enter Gaza. Hamas and other armed groups routinely steal, hoard and resell this aid for profit, making hundreds of millions of dollars and thus manufacturing artificial scarcity.
The media report though, that Israel is stopping the UN from delivering aid to Gaza. This is an outright lie. The UN has stopped the deliveries because they are afraid aid will be stolen.
Blaming Israel for the food shortage is yet another attack on Israel, fueled by journalists uncritically citing statistics from the Hamas-run Health Ministry. Media also ran photos of starving children, who were found to be suffering from pre-existing medical conditions.
