Dear Letter to the Editor:
In one cartoon Malcom Mayes has portrayed 100% of the criticism of the Jewish people of Israel and the the Jewish people in general since 10/7.
Antizionism - as the perverse euphemism for antisemitism -- represents the desire to eliminate the 3500 year old indigenous homeland of the Jewish people and its Jewish population. Antizionism is also what drives the animus of nearly all of the journalists in the mainstream media as well as most academics and journalists today to spew their calumnies about the Jewish people and their 3500 year old indigenous homeland, Israel.
In fact, UCLA professor Judea Pearl, the father of Daniel Pearl, has established Zionophobia as the jew hating sickness that Malcom Mayes perfectly portrays in his cartoon.
Professor Pearl in his treatise on Zionophobia writes:
" Zionophobia -- the absolute denial of Israel's right to exist - became normalized, mainstream, and even respectable in Western discourse, precisely at Israel's moment of greatest vulnerability...
"...but the post - October 7 attacks were different. This time they were driven by a wholehearted desire for Israel's demise -- with all its genocidal implications. The scent of blood, it seems, triggered a hunger for more. Hordes of predators emerged from the ideological tunnels, rushing to indict, sentence, and lynch Israel in the finest tradition of herd madness" .
See: " Coexistence and Other Fighting Words. Epilogue: The Crater of October 7", Judea Pearl, 2025, page 144.
The moral clarity of Malcom Hayes in describing in a single cartoon 100% of the criticism of Israel and the Jewish people since 10/7 as antizionism -- or as Professor Pearl describes as Zionophobia - is breathtaking.
In a vast journalistic, academic and political desert of jew hatred,
Malcom Mayes' cartoon represents a lonely oasis of TRUTH.
