Alyza Lewin, President of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, gave an outstanding presentation in the CAEF webinar, March 24th. There are many challenges for students in colleges and universities across Canada and the US in today's very politicized environment. Many are rooted in lies and hatred towards Israel, denial of Zionism as part of one's Jewish identity, and mischaracterizing Jews, Judaism and Israel. Alyza Lewin offers some deep insights and responses.

The Biden administration also recently opened a Title VI investigation of Brooklyn College in response to a complaint filed by the Brandeis Center. More details available here. More details available here.

In regards to what can be done to counter the problems experienced in California with the “liberated” ethnic studies curriculum, I recommend the work of the Alliance for Constructive Ethnic Studies (ACES) and the work of the Jewish Institute for Liberal Values"
