Wokeism isn’t Unique to North America—In Israel Parents also Object

“Everything that happens in the United States eventually comes to Israel. We already see the woke agenda…not yet as it is in the American system, and we have a chance to stop it before it really does damage,” said Roni Sassover, a Tel Aviv attorney who founded Parents’ Forum for Tradition, a group of secular parents concerned about the lack of Jewish religious education in state schools.”

The above quote is from an Israel Unwired article, January 5th, 2023 by David Isaacs, which addresses the basics of Judaism isn’t being taught in Israeli public schools which are increasingly inserting a progressive ideology into the educational curriculum.

Knowing Fundamentals Means Standing up for Fundamental Truths—Be Educated!

How many times are you in a situation where Israel is blasphemed or criticized unfairly, lies about her history are bandied around, and you wished you could respond with facts and confidence?

Consider these important and provable historic facts:

"The foundation of the State of Israel is protected by international law and under treaties, going back to the Balfour Declaration of 1917, the San Remo Conference of 1920 on the British Mandate for Palestine, followed by a treaty confirmed by the League of Nations in 1922 and implemented in September 1923." These rights granted the Jewish people under the mandate were embedded in the establishment of the United Nations.

“In Article 80 of the UN Charter, though this appears to be disregarded by most nations, Chapter XII it is written, “...nothing in this Chapter shall be construed in or of itself to alter in any manner the rights whatsoever of any states or any peoples or the terms of existing international instruments to which Members of the United Nations may respectively be parties.”

These are indisputable, yet our enemies spew forth grossly distorted lies about Israel’s legitimacy and bring resolutions via UN bodies to the International Courts, all aiming to damage, isolate or totally eradicate Israel.

Diana Krief, President of the Geneva-based Association Cooperation and Development (ACD), challenges these lies in her article in the Jerusalem Post on January 11. 2023.

Irony

There is irony among Canadians who support the New Israel Fund, Breaking the Silence, IfNotNow, Peace Now Canada, JSpace, and Independent Jewish Voices, who regularly begin an event by acknowledging that they are on the land of the Cree, Credit, Ojibway or other indigenous peoples' lands, but they make no attempt to remove themselves and give the land back to these tribes. However, they want the indigenous Jewish people to forsake their ancestral lands to donate them to Jew-hating genocidal invaders with a fake history.

If everyone is to go back to their ancestral lands, where would the NIF/BTS/INN/IJV humans go? They would have to go back to the land of Israel!

Col. Richard Kemp Reports How Bad for Jews are Many of Today's Universities

“It is neither exaggeration nor hyperbole to say that the sustained campaign against Jews at US universities in the 21st Century could have been modelled on Jew-hate at German universities in the 1930s.”

A Boost from the Italian Government

Read of the Italian commitment to fighting antisemitism in the schools.

Malicious Intent by US Homeland Securities Department, or When is a Spoon an Object of Political Bigotry?

Melanie Phillips well describes how an ancient spoon is being used as a hammer on the head of Israel and the Jewish people by yet another US Department of government.

Here are key facts to know before reading the story about an ancient spoon. This spoon that was presented to a not ancient people in a deliberate act to that denigrate Israel, by yet another US agency.

“The ‘Palestinian people' didn’t exist at all until it was invented in the 1960s in a strategy to destroy Israel cooked up by Yasser Arafat, the Egyptian-born head of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, in cahoots with the Soviet Union.

During the 1920s and 1930s, many of the Arabs who were the 20th-century ancestors of today’s “Palestinians” poured into what is now Israel and the disputed territories from neighbouring Arab states in pursuit of the prosperity they believed would result from return of the Jews to their ancestral Jewish homeland.”

A Bad Year for Academia

Read a list of antisemitic happenings at campuses across the US as noted on January 9th, by Campus Watch, a division of the Middle East Forum.

In particular read about the Canadian government’s funding of a report by Anti-Israel professor Jasmine Zine who has a history of antisemitic writings, research, and postings.

Canadian government funds a report by anti-Israel Middle East Studies prof, Jasmine Zine, about Islamophobia.

Advocacy and Action

Read the letter to CBC about bias in a recent morning radio program that portrayed lies about the land of Israel as occupied and the Arabs as victims of Israeli aggression, clearly obscuring Arab terrorism and the rightful ownership of the land.

Read two letters affirming the need for the adoption and implementation of IHRA in all schools, particularly in the Ottawa-Carleton District where there have been numerous instances of antisemitism.
