Challenging Jews to Stand up for Israel, Truth, Zionism

This is not an easy or popular topic but CAEF isn’t about apathy, pretense or spurious debate on facts. Israel is being challenged, its very legitimacy questioned by antisemitic actors, violent perpetrators of Jew hatred, ignorant social justice warriors, and Jewish alt-leftists who have abandoned reason, denuded Jewish history of facts, and made false claims about Zionism as colonialism, Israel as an apartheid state and Jews as oppressors. It boggles the mind, but today, our enemies include those Jews who, as in days of old, betray the Jewish people and thus threaten Israel’s safety and by extension, the Jewish community worldwide.

How will You stand up to the internal challenges our people face? Are you equipped with information that enables you to share the facts, speak truth to lies, defend Israel, challenge the hypocrites and liars? Are You voicing support for Israel?

CAEF wants to help You. Read our Bulletins. Watch our Web Talks. Donate to support our programs of education, outreach and advocacy.

A Call to Jewish Leadership

The Jewish Leadership Challenge was initiated in the US by Charles Jacobs and Avi Goldwasser. In Canada, there is no organized challenge but this article by Marty Gold, editor of TheJa.ca suggests that our established, funded and well respected leadership, must also take stronger stands to combat antisemitism, stand up for Zionism, and be the voice that demands accountability on behalf of the Jews in Canada and beyond. Gold supports statements by Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of UN Watch, who has called for strong measures against whomever in the federal government chose to fund the antisemite Laith Marouf, and the Minister(s) who celebrated this racist, without regard to his prior history and his visible social media tirades against most minorities in Canada, especially against Israel and Jews.

CAEF has petitioned the government to hold a public inquiry into the Marouf scandal.

“Justice must not only be done, but must be seen to be done.”

Brooke Goldstein Identifies True Nature of the Holy War Against Israel

Watch the video of an interview with Brooke Goldstein, Founder and Director of The Lawfare Project and End Jew Hatred on Fox News. Arabs are calling for the murder of Jews, children are taught how to kill a Jew.

Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch Tackles Antisemitism on Campus

This year perhaps more rabbis ought to have addressed antisemitism in their Rosh Hashonah sermons as it is a feature of Jewish life, not only in the US but also in Canada. It is a rising tide, most prevalent in academia but also now in public schools, reinforced by some media, and faith communities. The Jewish community needs to hear that rabbis and lay leaders recognize antisemitism is a major concern for the majority of Jews. This has been identified in several surveys as a consistent priority. (I can reference meetings of UJA that raised the question in community surveys pre-pandemic. Ed.)

Rabbi Hirsch, spiritual leader of the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue of New York, strikes out at the hatred and lies of antiZionist campus messages.

Jews Against Zionism are Against Jews

In an article by Stephen Flatnow, published in JNS.org on September 29th, 2022 he challenges the lies by omission of JStreet, a notably leftist anti-Israel organization that has a pretense of being “progressive Zionist,” but rarely supports Israel, always supports its enemies. Consider this excerpt from Flatnow’s article that addresses J Street’s reporting of the speech given by Prime Minister Lapid in the UN. While Lapid said he stood for a two state solution to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs, he did so with this proviso, conveniently ignored by JStreet.

“That a future Palestinian state will be a peaceful one. That it will not become another terror base from which to threaten the well-being and the very existence of Israel.”

Flatnow goes on to point out the patently obvious reason why there is not a Palestinian state today—because “..like all Israelis”, Lapid, is “worried about a Palestinian state becoming a ‘terror base’? Because it has already happened. In 1995, Israel gave the Palestinian Authority control over 40% of Judea and Samaria, where 98% of the Palestinian Arabs live, and 100% of Gaza. Those areas immediately became terror bases.”

That Jewish organizations on the alt-left continue to dismiss both history and reality is a serious problem in our communities. Israel is harassed and threatened by a surge in Palestinian Arab violence, yet the leftist-Islamist alliance denies this fact, defies logic, and would destroy the miracle of Israel and the security for both Jews and Arabs that Israel offers.

An Incisive Letter on Antisemitic Social Media

Richard Sherman is a regular contributor to CAEF via his intelligent and cryptic letters to media all around the world. The following letter was directed to one news source but it should be read by all mainstream and social media execs.

Here reproduced in full, Sherman clearly addresses the source of antisemitism and calls on the Social Media giants to confront it.

Dear Letter to the Editor:

The reason the executives from Meta, Twitter, You Tube and Tik Tok are unable to articulate the simple fact that anti-Zionism is today's anti-Semitism is because they are products of an American higher educational system that devoutly wishes for the genocide of the Jewish people of Israel. ("Platitudes and Window Dressing").

The amoral reality is that for more than thirty years Muslim countries have poured billions of dollars into American higher education and have thereby successfully produced cadres of antisemites in politics, education, the media and elsewhere.

The fact is that between 1986 and 2018 Muslim countries poured 6.5 billion dollars into the American university system to promote the foundational antisemitism of the Koran and celebrate Muhammad's personal decapitation of 600-900 unarmed Jewish men and kidnapping and sexual enslavement of 1000 Jewish girls and women in Medina in 627. ("Follow The Money - Examining Undocumented Foreign Funding of American Universities: Implications For Education and Rising Antisemitism", June 13, 2020. The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy").

As night follows day, the success of this thirty plus year 6.5 billion dollar effort to infect the American education system with koranic antisemitism is detailed in Professor Cary Nelson’s, (of the University of Illinois at Urbana) widely acclaimed treatise, "Israel Denial: Anti-Zionism, Antisemitism and the Faculty Campaign Against the Jewish State (2019)".

The result today is media executives at Meta, Twitter, You Tube and Tik Tok who essentially parrot the Jew hatred of Nazi war criminal the Grand Mufti Amin al-Husseini as they were "taught," and dismiss the wisdom and prescience of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who said at Cambridge shortly before his death, "When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews; you're talking antisemitism".

As night follows day.....

May you and yours have an easy fast and be sealed in the Book of Life.

G'mar Chatima Tova.
