CAEF Marks 1000 Days since the October 7, 2023 Massacres and Atrocities
On October 7, 2023, Israel suffered the worst mass terror attack in its history, and the Jewish people suffered the worst single-day massacres and atrocities since the Holocaust.
We encourage our readers to view The Killing Roads to bear witness. Caution: We discourage viewing of this film by persons under 16.
Those who deny, condone, or rationalize these horrific massacres are far too many. They hold respectable roles in society. They occupy trusted and esteemed positions as lawyers, doctors, professional engineers, accountants, and teachers.
We will not let the memory of the innocents of October 7, 2023 recede and fade away. We will not let the rape deniers flourish. We expose and publicly name them, without fear. We hold them to account. We demand of our government institutions, including our professional regulatory bodies, that they take this issue seriously, that they proceed with investigations with diligence and efficiency, and that they stop treating Jewish Canadians as Class B citizens.
For example, here are Nigel Fitzroy BARRIFFE, OCT (514644), incoming President of the Elementary Teachers of Toronto, the largest teachers’ union local in Canada and James Petrie MITCHELL, OCT (503185), an Ontario secondary school teacher in Halton Region, who holds the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence.

CAEF Remembers Families/Friends on Air India Flight 182
Air India Flight 182 was struck down by a terror attack off the coast of Ireland 41 years ago. It was the worst terror attack in Canadian history. This atrocity must not be forgotten and the families and community, largely Hindu, who suffered this horror and continue to mourn the victims, must be honoured and supported. All 329 passengers, including 268 who were Canadian, died in the bombing of this flight by Babbar Khalsa terrorists who resided in Canada. Babbar Khalsa is a marginal breakaway sect of Sikhism founded in 1978.
For four decades artists and victims’ families from Flight 182, have carried the burden of remembrance. It has been the bereaved families, artists, writers, filmmakers, scholars, and community members who refused to let the dead be forgotten. When will Canada create a shared institutional memory equal to the scale of the crime?
Air India 182 is not a "distant" tragedy that befell one immigrant community. It is Canadian history and a story that Canadians, students and adults, still needs to learn.
CAEF honours the lives lost and the families who continue to seek justice. Read article by Mayuri Mukherjee-Pascar in New Canadian Media, June 23, 2026, how this tragedy is being remembered through art.
LEGAL UPDATE
1. Brandon Taylor MOORE – Guilty of Public Incitement of Hatred Against an Identifiable Group
Brandon Taylor MOORE, a real estate broker residing in Saskatoon SK, was charged in December 2025 with public incitement of hatred against an identifiable group (Jewish people), willful promotion of hatred against an identifiable group (Jewish people), willful promotion of antisemitism by condoning, denying or downplaying the Holocaust, and unsafe storage of a firearm. The charges were laid in connection with a series of social media posts which included antisemitic conspiracy theories and Holocaust denials. In May 2024, B’nai Brith Canada initiated the complaints to the Saskatoon Police Service. According to media reports, B’nai Brith Canada also complained about the postings to the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission, leading to the revocation of Moore’s real estate license.
Yesterday, Moore pleaded guilty in Saskatchewan Provincial Court to public incitement of hatred against Jewish people, as part of a plea agreement that will see the Crown request a judicial stay of proceedings for the remaining charges at Moore’s sentencing hearing, which is scheduled for September 28. At the plea hearing, Crown prosecutor David Piche stated Moore had a social media following of over 180,000, and that he was prolific in making hateful statements about Jewish people, including statements calling for their removal or exclusion from society.
CAEF is planning to participate in a joint Community Impact Statement to be filed in conjunction with various other Canadian Jewish community advocacy organizations. CAEF also initiated in November 2025 a complaint to the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission that postings by Moore were inciting residents of Saskatchewan to discriminate against Jewish people in access to goods, services, employment etc. The SHRC has been slow-walking the complaint, but hopefully the news of the guilty plea will speed up the process.

Here’s a bit of what Moore posted. It is far from the worst. This is, after all, a Bulletin intended for a family audience.
More details will be published when we receive a copy of the Agreed Statement of Facts filed with the court.
2. Abdulkhadir AL-JELANI
On Tuesday June 30, the Toronto Police Service reported that Abdulkhadir AL-JELANI assaulted a man at an outdoor commercial plaza near Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue. Al-Jelani allegedly yelled anti-Israel slogans and accusations at the man, and then proceeded to throw rocks and debris at him, striking him several times.
Toronto Police have charged Al-Jelani with three counts of assault with a weapon, and one count of uttering threats.
This is a serious incident that proves that the Jew-haters in Toronto have progressed past on-line hate, street-corner invective and pushing/shoving. According to media and direct reports from the person attacked, this assault was repeated and unprovoked.
Specifically, Joseph Bitton, a Toronto real estate broker and property manager, wrote on his public Facebook page:
“TODAY I WAS PHYSICALLY ATTACKED BY A MUSLIM in Toronto and in broad daylight while at a client's commercial property. I am visibly Jewish and the suspect said he was a Houthi from Yemen and was "going to kill me because Israel is killing babies and committing genocide". The guy's photo is below. He then threw a parking pylon at me as well as a brick, rocks, metal bars and struck me with a thick tree branch. I sustained only minor scratches and abrasions, but the greater damage was the emotional trauma. I called 911 and officers responded quickly, arrested the suspect and said they were treating this as a hate crime. I also reported the incident to B'nai Brith and CIJA. This is NOT the Canada I grew up in and have lived in over the past 64 years”.
CAEF has drawn this case to the attention of the public. We urge that members of the community write to the Attorney General of Ontario attorneygeneral@ontario.ca and the Toronto Central Crown Office CentralTorontoCrown@ontario.ca to respectfully request that the Crown proceed by indictment in this matter, owing to the seriousness of these violent offences and their apparent motivation by hate, bias or prejudice.

Watch Building Indigenous and Jewish Friendship Symposium
June 8 marked a first ever Jewish-Indigenous exchange as the culmination of a weekend of sharing. Thirty Indigenous Canadians and an equal number of Jews spent a day in learning, listening, and discussing one another’s perspectives, histories, and travails. Organized by CAEF, Allied Voices for Israel, Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem, Harmony Foundation and Kanada House, the day was filled with meaningful expert presentations, beginning with spiritual expressions by Rabbi Jennifer Gorman and Elders Wendy and Mark Philips. The day culminated in personal action statements from participants, and summarized compilations by the planning committee.
Antisemitism is Driving Some South
Dr. Emmanuel Moss, chief of cardiac surgery at Montreal's Jewish General Hospital and a pioneer in robotic heart surgery, chose to relocate his practice to Atlanta, Georgia. Sources close to him noted that a sharp rise in local antisemitic incidents—including the vandalism of Jewish institutions and a shooting at a local yeshiva—served as the final straw alongside ongoing frustrations with the provincial healthcare system.
Professor Gad Saad, prominent Concordia University professor and evolutionary behavioral scientist also announced his departure from Montreal to accept a post at the University of Mississippi. He publicly cited a hostile environment and direct threats that made it increasingly untenable to work as a high-profile Jewish academic.
The broader Impact on society is multifold, from losing specialists, losing educators who create more knowledge and train more specialists, to economic impacts and social erosion. People will lose trust in institutions, feel more vulnerable, expect things might worsen, and more people might seek opportunities elsewhere, thus further eroding communities and weakening institutions.
These two outstanding contributors to Canada, have left. We are all watching. What comes next?

Combat Antisemitism Movement Launched Petition to hold UN accountable for Antisemitism. Read ZOA article calling for the firing of Vanessa Frazier, UN Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, for failure at every level including blood libels against Israel, June 26, 2026

The United Nations cannot continue to extend the credibility of its offices to those who amplify hatred against the Jewish people. We call upon you to act without delay: 1 Open a formal, transparent review of Ms. Frazier's social media conduct, to be concluded promptly. 2 Suspend Ms. Frazier from her duties pending the review's findings. 3 Apply the same standard to any UN official, including Ms. Albanese, Ms. Alsalem, and members of UN commissions, found to have used their platform to promote antisemitic narratives, Holocaust inversion, or modern blood libels. 4 Adopt binding conduct standards prohibiting senior officials from amplifying disinformation or content from documented purveyors of hate. 5 Issue a clear public statement affirming that the United Nations will not serve as a platform for antisemitism. The United Nations was founded on the principles of human dignity and equality. When officials holding its highest mandates lend legitimacy to those who compare Israel to Nazi Germany, deny the suffering of Jewish victims, or accuse the Jewish state of deliberately targeting children as policy, they betray those founding principles. The world's Jewish communities deserve an institution that protects them, not one whose officials amplify hatred against them. Respectfully, The Combat Antisemitism Movement |
Canadian Museum of Human Rights Can’t Relate to Rights for Jews
CIJA, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, ahead of the opening of the controversial 'Nakba' exhibit, expressed serious concerns about the content and now is concerned” by reports that the @humanrights.ca plans to develop and distribute educational materials related to the controversial exhibit, which can have serious real-world consequences.
Materials that are one-sided and driven by a political agenda can contribute to discrimination, bullying and even assault targeting Jewish students. The federal government must hold the CMHR’s leadership accountable for this egregious mishandling.”
The “Nakba” is the Failed Attempt by Arabs to Eradicate Israel
This exhibit presented by Canadian Museum for Human Rights is a disgrace, a masterclass in historical revisionism masquerading as a museum display. It is nothing more than the mainstreaming of virulent, state-sponsored propaganda. This exhibit is mourning the failure to execute a genocide. The moral bankruptcy on display is staggering. If any institution attempted to curate a sympathetic exhibit honoring the Nazis for losing a war they started to exterminate a people, the world would rightly recoil in horror. Yet, when the focus shifts to the 1948 war, a conflict initiated by Arab leadership with the explicit intent of annihilating the Jewish population, this museum instead crafts a pathetic fairy tale of victimhood.
The narrative presented here is pure, unadulterated fiction. The displacement of 700,000 Arabs was the direct result of a war their leadership chose to initiate. Rather than integrating these populations into any of the twenty surrounding Arab nations, these people were systematically weaponized, transformed into permanent pawns to facilitate a long-term ideological campaign. The so-called "national identity" being romanticized here is a calculated political fabrication, synthesized in 1964 by Soviet influence and the Arab League. It was never about legitimate self-determination; it was about weaponizing a population to mask the humiliation of their failure to commit total genocide against the Jewish people.
The term "Nakba" is nothing more than a sanitized label for the bitter frustration of a failed extermination attempt. By presenting this as a "sob story," the museum is not documenting history, it is laundering antisemitism under the guise of intellectual inquiry. This isn’t education; it’s an institutional endorsement of a vile, hateful lie. It is a profound shame that an entity entrusted with shaping public narrative has abandoned all intellectual honesty to become a megaphone for propaganda. This exhibit is a complete sham, and its presence is a permanent stain on any institution that dares to call itself a museum. #canada #history #antisemitism #ottawa

CAEF in Cooperation with DocuNation Presents Iman's Boat
Refugee Film Discussion Meeting
DocuNation hosted a meeting with filmmakers Guy and Nir, along with Iman, who is the main protagonist of their film about refugees in Lesbos, Greece. Guy explained how he initially heard about the story while filming a first anniversary for a school helping refugee children in 2015, which led to the creation of the film. The discussion highlighted the overwhelming situation on the island of Lesbos, where 2 million refugees, including half a million children, passed through during a few years, despite the island's typically small population of around 100,000 people.
