JESUS WAS A JEW, PALESTINE NEVER EXISTED, AND LYING WON’T CHANGE HISTORY
As Mitch Danzig rightly asserts in an article published December 8 in the Algemeiner, the enemies of Israel and the Jewish people, would like to revise the Bible itself in order to denigrate Jews and Christians alike-falsely claiming that Jesus was a Palestinian. It is so absurd as to generate great laughter, but unfortunately, there are purveyors of hate that lap up lies and cover fact with fiction. This is antisemitic to the core.
Christian Support for Israel is Powerful, Meaningful, Deliberate
To quote Jim Sinkinson, founder and CEO of FLAME, “Indeed, Christian support is sometimes even stronger and more unconditional than that of American Jews. For one thing, Christian Zionists tend to have fewer qualms about Israel’s government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu than Jews do.”

Shades of 1934?
On December 7, word spread quickly about vandalism at a seniors housing complex, in which all the mezuzot were torn from the doorframes of private residences.
This was immediately condemned by Councillor James Pasternak, who has stood firmly and loudly with the Jewish community, demanding more from City Council and Toronto Police Services in securing Jewish sites, removing anti-Jewish elements from a Jewish neighborhood, and providing prevention, not merely responding to every incident. On December 8, Lucas Casaletto wrote for CityNews, that the building’s rabbi had been in touch with the Toronto police, now called into action to find the vandals. Pasternak called on Mayor Olivia Chow to condemn this crime and she posted, “this is an outrageous and vile act of antisemitism.”
The J.ca published an article by Ron East on December 8.
CAEF’s president, Michael Teper, was part of the team that took action and arranged to immediately replace every mezuzah, By 10 pm on Sunday night he had helped to install replacement mezzuzot with kosher scrolls on every door frame. We thank the Israel Source for showing up with mezzuzot and making this possible and others who helped with attaching them. CAEF has offered to cover part of the cost and anticipates other advocacy organizations will also assist.
Following this heinous desecration, the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) launched the #MezuzahChallenge, urging social media users of all faiths to post pictures of mezuzahs to show solidarity with the Jewish people and prove hate will not win.
Jews Gather to Hear Federal Opposition Leader
Early morning December 7th, almost 1000 members of the Jewish community gathered at Adath Israel Synagogue to hear Pierre Poilievre address the community. Following a welcome to the synagogue, strong statements of the community’s support for Israel, and concerns about antisemitism by Rabbi Adam Cutler, Poilievre was introduced by Roman Baber, MP for the constituency and a new member of parliament.
The speech received a standing ovation as Poilievre expressed strong support for the community and Israel, shared personal and intimate stories of his own experience visiting Israel several times. He committed the Conservative Party of Canada to removing DEI policies and practices, and to supporting Israel wholeheartedly because it is the right thing to do for an ally, for a democratic nation, for a country that respects all faiths and people, and one that is greatly maligned by significant elements in our own society.
Poilievre addressed security, the end of UNRWA, the current proposed anti-hate legislation, and the damage caused by the current government’s recognition of “Palestine.” People were encouraged by his words, but actions are needed, and until the government changes people need to work together to achieve the goals outlined, influencing what they can right now.
