Michael Moshe Mizrahi and Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal Officer Mohamed Lamine Benredouane were killed in a shooting near a kosher restaurant and Chabad house in Montréal. We mourn this tragic loss of life by the innocent Jewish man and a police officer operating in the line of duty, and denounce the deadly consequences of unchecked ideological hatred.
Read the Statement on the Tragic Events in Montréal from Mark Sandler, President of the Alliance of Canadians Combating Antisemitism (ALCCA), of which CAEF is a member.
Read Rabbi Yisroel Bernath of Chabad Montréal’s statement calling for responsible reporting of the incident and the avoidance of Lashon Hara.
Read Sheila Gunn Reid in Rebel News, reporting that the 104-page manifesto left by the killer is filled with explicit antisemitism, anti-Zionist rhetoric, communist ideology, and grievances commonly associated with the online “incel” movement, June 23, 2026.
YNetNews reported (June 22, 2026): “The shooting came just three weeks after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney warned that Canada was failing to protect its Jewish community amid a record surge in antisemitic incidents.”

Legal Update
1. Exhibition Place: Violation of the City of Toronto Human Rights and Anti-Disrcimination Policy by the Muslim Association of Canada.
In May 2026 at the annual conference of the Muslim Association of Canada held at Exhibition Place, this lovely image was reported by Juno News investigative journalist Melanie Bennet, as being displayed at one of the sessions. Note the tem “Jew free” on the left side of the word salad.
Exhibition Place is the property of the City of Toronto, and is governed by the City of Toronto Anti-Discrimination Policy. CAEF has taken a position that this display constitues a violation of the policy and wrote to Exhibition Place CEO Don Boyle demanding an investigation and an opportunity for CAEF and other Jewish community organizations to address the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place about the effect of this violation on the community and to request remedial measures. Mr Boyle wrote back on June 10, 2026 denying our request to delegate to the Board of Governors on the grounds that an investigation was still in process, but would be completed within two weeks.
As of today, June 26, 2026, we received a reply email from Mr. Boyle:

We are not letting this go. It is unacceptable for any group to use public property to promote the concept of a “Jew free” community. Specifically, we will be filing a Freedom of Information Act requesting release of all documents relating to this incident and the investigation to ensure public accountability and transparency.
2. Postponement of the trial of Shahrez HYDRI – Mischief (interfere with use/enjoyment of property) - smoke bomb at Cafe Landwer University Ave. Toronto May 15, 2025.
The trial of Shahrez HYDRI, scheduled for June 29, 2026 was postponed at the last minute due to administrative trial scheduling considerations. A new date is to be set July 3, 2026.

3. Distribution of hate propaganda in Orillia ON – Young Person charged with Public Incitement of Hatred
Please see attached article by ALCCA Staff. While we will not display a copy of the flyer, in our estimation it shares the content and style of antisemitic flyers produced by the US based hate group GoyimTV.

Read Letter from Larry Shapiro, Calgary, to Melissa Lantsman, MP regarding the Qatari funding of "Arabic language education" in Edmonton schools which leaves the door open to Islamic indoctrination since that is what Qatar has been doing across the US, with references to reports documenting this, June 24, 2026.
Sign letter from Action Network objecting to Netflix release of a film that depicts the murder of Palestinian family by IDF. Over 4,000,000 letters sent, now get to 6,553,800.
“The Jordanian film Farha, by director Darin J. Sallam, in which IDF soldiers are seen murdering a Palestinian family during the War of Independence, will be released on Netflix in December. The film takes place in 1948 in Mandatory Palestine and is about a 14-year-old Palestinian girl whose father locks her in a warehouse because of IDF attacks in the village.
The production claims to be "inspired by true events", however this is a lie.”

Lana Melman Interviews Hollywood Zionist Supporter

Oscar-nominated actor. Emmy winner. Four-time SAG award winner. Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Director. Humanitarian. You may know him as Lt. Dan, but long before Forrest Gump, actor Gary Sinise was a kid from Chicago whose Jewish friends taught him what it meant to have roots worth fighting for. Many of them moved to Israel after graduation and never came back. He tells CAEF supporter Lana Melman that decades later, he still calls them when the sirens start.
Lana Melman, entertainment veteran, interviewed Gary Sinise for her column Hollywood Stories in the Jerusalem Post Magazine.

Read article by Micha Danzig in Jewish Journal on the real relationship between Israel and America, June 22, 2026. “This piece challenges a growing historical amnesia about how deeply America’s moral and political foundations are rooted in Jerusalem - its ideas, texts, and vision. It also responds to the current moment, where we’re hearing claims from President Trump that Israel owes its very existence to America, and where legitimate criticism of a sudden policy about-face on Iran is recast by JD Vance as “Israeli ministers personally attacking Donald Trump.” This isn’t abstract; it goes to the core of America’s identity - and to the integrity of the conversation we’re having now.”

“..in my 2003 book, The New Antisemitism, I explained that the cognitive or propaganda war would be bigger and more important than ever before; that ancient Blood Libels would be massively circulated around the clock in all the languages on earth, on every continent, in every country; that the internet and social media would be carefully and diabolically seeded with disinformation about the single Jewish state; that anti-Zionism was part of the new antisemitism; and that Western intellectuals would join forces with the Islamic world, and with Islamists, Marxists, and right-wingers in the West. Generations of university professors would teach these lies again and again over seven decades. College-educated journalists and international organizations would internalize them.”
“Ordinary citizens, both paid by Arab and left-wing money, as well as those who are just unpaid but passionate True Believers are, without shame, physically and verbally attacking individual Jews in the streets of America and Europe; shooting and bombing Jewish Centers and synagogues; marching, marching in Jihad-like swarms calling for “Death to Israel, Death to America”; staging campus encampments with Shari’a-compliant female students; Hollywood and Broadway celebrities are virtue-signaling their support for “Palestine” (a country that does not exist) and especially for “Gaza” (an area that has been taken over and taken down by Hamas terrorists, not by Israel).”

Message to the Canadian Museum of Human Rights
Perhaps the “righteous” at the Museum, its CEO, Board of Directors and “Nakba advisors” and funders, including the Federal government of Canada, ought to present real human rights issues rather than lie about Israel and the Jewish People.
