Hello Chef Sami,

I appreciate your food choices and recipes but please tell me, Where is Palestine? It is not a country that ever existed, but my older Jewish friends do have passports from Palestine and were called Palestinian prior to 1948.  That was under the British Mandate for Palestine which arose after the Ottoman Empire, but I can find no reference to a sovereign Palestine in a land that was called Israel under King David. So, just what is the country you are referring to? Perhaps some of your favourite recipes are those of the Jews who lived in the area for over 3000years, long before Arabs arrived?

That would be cool.
