Re: Gaza's destroyed universities pivot to online teaching as they wait to rebuild, By Eric Reguly, Published April 22, 2026, Globe & Mail
Dear Editor,
Ercic Reguly failed to mention that Hamas stationed its military personnel in Gaza's university grounds that according to laws of war turned them into legitimate military targets. To give Israel credit, it did not attack until all the students and teachers left the premises, not an easy task because Hamas resisted the evacuation of innocents.
Reguly also failed to mention what these universities were teaching. All Gaza schools teach students to yearn for deaths as martyrs while killing Jews This is confirmed by Article Seven of the Hamas Charter that calls for all the Jews worldwide to be murdered. It's pretty difficult to garner sympathy for schools that engage in such egregious child abuse.
