Letter from Larry Shapiro to CTV News and Bell Media in the biased anti-Israel reporting on the latest flotilla to Gaza, May 18, 2026

Dear CTV,

On your 12:30 (mountain time) TV news, your news reader reported on the Israeli navy intercepting a flotilla carrying aid to Gaza. Several male Canadian voices expressing outrage at Israel were provided but not a single Israeli voice that people wanting both sides would have wanted.

First of all, how does CTV news know there was aid aboard the intercepted ships. If this flotilla is like the last one stopped by Israel, it would contain condoms and drugs for the recreation of the human rights people aboard, but no aid.

CTV was also amiss to omit the fact that Hamas, a terrorist organization banned by Canada, organized the PR flotilla, assisted by Turkey whose animosity towards the Jewish state has made life more dangerous for the Middle East.

I don't suppose that your news reader or her editors knew that Israel has been allowing huge amounts of aid into Gaza, so much so that there are hundreds of aid laden trucks never unloaded on Gaza's roads.

CTV's predisposition to blame Israel while possibly ordered, or at least tolerated by your Parent Bell is certainly doing a good job in convincing Canadians that Israel is a violent colonialist rogue state, a pile of lies which is being paid for by Canada's Jewish population.
