Letter from Richard Sherman to NYUNews, the student paper of NY University, regarding an article by Michael Salgarolo who fatuously shares misleading data from Hamas controlled Ministry of Health

Dear Letter to the Editor/Op Ed:

Michael Salgarolo ( a Faculty Fellow as proclaimed by NYU,  not a Professor. A Faculty Fellow is a limited term appointment for post doctoral researchers) can mendaciously repeat that there is "Palestinian genocide" or "genocide in Gaza" over and over; his mendacity does not make it so.

Notwithstanding the Al- Alhi Hospital fiasco in October  2023 in which the Gaza Health Ministry intentionally attempted a blame a fictional genocide of 500 people on the jews, Faculty Fellow Salgarolo continues to goose step to every mendacious statistic by the Gaza Health Ministry which is nothing more than the propaganda arm of Hamas - a genocidal terror organization whose UNREVOKED  Article 7 of its charter requires every member and supporter of Hamas to murder every jew on earth.

Israel is not mentioned in Article 7.

The Gaza Health Ministry aka the Gaza health authorities are just the propaganda arm of Hamas and are committed to promote antisemitic mendacities -- as the Al- Alhi Hospital is just one of hundreds of examples.

As esteemed Holocaust scholar Rafael Medoff has recently written:

" The first problem with the casualty numbers was their source. Although news reports frequently stated that " the Gaza Health Ministry " or " the health authorities in Gaza" provided the figures, the numbers came from the HAMAS health ministry - that is, a division of a terrorist group with a long track record of lying about everything from the outcome of its terrorist attacks ( inflating the number of Israeli victims, characterizing defenseless Israeli victims as soldiers, and the like) to topics such as The Holocaust, which it calls a hoax, and The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which it calls genuine. It also has an obviously strong interest in artificially inflating the numbers in order to increase international criticism of Israel. (See: "The Road to October 7. Obviously Faculty Fellow Salgarolo prefers to be a Hamas' toady and credulously believes every lie of the Gaza Health Ministry, rather that apply common sense and basic skepticism to the Gaza Health Ministry's endless lies including the Al- Ahli Hospital fiasco.

Further,  Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels infamously said: " A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth". Nothing demonstrates Goebbels' axiom more today than the lies of "genocide in Gaza" or "Palestinian genocide".

Basic mathematics-- apparently a subject rarely taught to Faculty Fellow Salgarolo  - demolishes these lies.

1947-1948: one million Arabs from the River to the Sea.

2023-2024: Eleven million Arabs call themselves Palestinian.

Genocide? Give me a break!

As far as Gaza. Over the last year there has been a 3% population INCREASE in Gaza. See: World Population Review.com 2026. A Population INCREASE!

In every documented genocide in history there has been a dramatic population decrease in the people suffering genocide. For example from 1933-1945 while the German people were committing the genocide of the Jews of Europe that Jewish population decreased from 11,000,000 to 5,000,000. It did not increase 3% to 11,330,000.

To put it simply,  population increase and genocide are mutually exclusive. There is no Palestinian genocide or genocide in Gaza notwithstanding how many Zionophobic* Hamas sycophants in the mainstream media, antisemitic "human rights" organizations, "Jewish" organizations that have internalized jew hatred,  progressive  Democratic politics and academia, professors and students and Faculty Fellows ,  like Michael Salgarolo,  swallow the Big Lie of Joseph Goebbels...in this case the Big Lie of the Gaza Health Ministry.
