David N. Myers euphemistically describes " Palestinian misfortune in 1948". (" Israel Should Lead The Rebuilding").

The reality is that in  May 1948 five invading Arab armies representing tens of millions of Arabs attacked the tiny nascent state of Israel publicly committed to the genocide of the less than 600,000 Jews in Israel.  This Arab leadership --no Arabs were called Palestinians until well after 1964 - commanded the local Arab population to leave their homes for a couple of weeks while they murdered all the Jews in Israel  -- a fact made repeatedly clear in contemporaneous Muslim and Arab journalism. See " The Palestinian Delusion: The Catastrophic History of the Middle East Peace Process", Chapter Three, The Jihad of 1948, 'Drive Them Out From Where'...They Left Voluntarily ', Robert Spencer, pp 81-85, 2019.

Those Arabs who disobeyed their leadership and remained in Israel became Israeli citizens.

Those Arabs who obeyed their leadership and left their homes gleefully anticipating the genocide of the Jews and a return to plunder the homes and valuables of the dead jews, well....as John Lennon wrote: " Life happens as you are busy making other plans".
