Letter to Le Devoir from Richard Sherman, Florida in June 2025 calling out Eric Godi's editorial cartoon which betrays truth about Iran and supports the terrorist regime by lies against Israel

Dear Letter to the Editor:

Le Devoir's Eric Godin's editorial cartoon which essentially presents Israel's entire 77 year history of defending itself against Iran and other Arab existential threats as just election ploys would have been gleefully published on the front page above the fold by Der Sturmer.

Iran has been publicly demanding the annihilation of the only Jewish country on earth since 1979.

Just days ago the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) -- no longer blinded by the calumnies of the treacherous and traitorous American " diplomat" Robert Malley - formally censured Iran for a violation of its nuclear agreements.

Further, Iran for decades has poured billions of dollars into financing the murder of thousands of Jews in the Middle East, Argentina and elsewhere by its sociopathic proxies, Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestine Islamic Jihad and others.

Now Iran fires missiles directly at civilian population centers,  hospitals and medical research centers in Israel continuing it and its proxies' orgy of antisemitic horror.

Also Godin's perverse cartoon is a disgrace to the memory of dozens of Canadians murdered by the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC)when it shot down Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 on 1/8/20.

Clearly Godin's cartoon ignores Iran's murderous and antisemitic raison d etre just as  Charles Lindbergh ignored the Nazi's murderous and antisemitic raison d etre in his infamous Des Moines speech of 9/11/41.
