Subject: re antisemitism in your Party
Dear Mr Bernier,
I have read the details of specific instances of antisemitism expressed by Martin Masse and I ask that you fire him. It is clear the man has vile ideas about terrorism, minorities such as gay people and very antisemitic attitudes, and has disseminated them, which makes him a dreadful representative for the People's Party of Canada. Any association with him must surely detract from your political purpose and prove to be of scant value to you personally.
Canadians value diversity, but whether or not, your party chooses to support more or less diversity, immigration or border security, is irrelevant to me at this point. What is relevant is that you're associated with someone who is promoting hatred, intolerance and antisemitism which I cannot abide, nor should any Canadian. The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, signed by dozens of countries, provides a detailed definition and set of principles to recognize antisemitism. I suggest you and Mr Masse read them, and that the PPC adopt them, immediately.
Regards,
Andria Spindel,
Executive Director,
