Amnesty International, Another International Body Spewing Jew Hatred
Amnesty International (AI) has joined Human Rights Watch and the UN Human Rights Council in promoting lies about Israel and fomenting Jew Hatred.
Thousands of words, videos, postings on social media, webinars and petitions have been generated from many corners of the Jewish world, and some from non-Jews, stating the obvious, that the recent report from Amnesty International reeks with the stench of Jew hatred. The Canadian Antisemitism Education Foundation agrees with all who found fault with, and zero merit in, the report entitled, Israel’s Apartheid Against Palestinians, published by the UK branch of AI.
It is a cruel, cold, calculated piece of garbage, timed to influence voting at international meetings or to concretize the hatred generated by the UN Human Rights Council or maybe to have countries endorse the fallacies and punish Israel. There is no mention of the terrorism inflicted on Israel by its internal and external belligerent neighbors.
This is part of the continuum of antisemitism spewed by Amnesty International for several decades and it places them in cahoots with other major international bodies of Jew haters, most notably, the inhumane Human Rights Watch, a sorry excuse of a once formidable NGO created to defend people experiencing injustice from the state or country in which they are resident, but now expending more resources hating Jews than solving any human rights problem. Then we have the catastrophic embodiment of all that is wrong with the United Nations, the Inquisition headed by Navi Pillay, formerly chief defender of the gloriously erroneous Goldstone Report, and a chief spokesperson for the BDS movement which is a key tool in the armament to commit another genocide against the Jews, this time by eradicating the Jewish state. Can anyone really take these 3 anti-Israel organizations seriously?
Unfortunately many people do believe the lies. Among the targets for their lies are Jewish youth who lack knowledge of Jewish history, and an understanding of Jew hatred from time immemorial to now. Many Jewish youth lack the conviction of their Jewish/Zionist heritage and are ill equipped to stand up against the social justice warriors who demand their allegiance to all human rights causes but their own.
Now is the time to remember what our sage and teacher, Hillel said: "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? And being only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?"
Our youth, influenced by the message of “tikkun olam” are part of every social justice movement often fail to hear the first part of Hillel’s edict—If I am not for myself, (and by extension, my people), then… who will be for me—and my people? My people, Israel, need us to speak up NOW.
A search of the Amnesty International Canada site does not provide an email but one can type a message for the head office, or make a phone call and express your views about the report that ignores entirely the attacks against Israel by radical jihadists--Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Fatah--and the Palestinian Authority which teaches children to kill Jews, especially in UNRWA funded and operated schools.
It is incredulous that anyone can refer to Israel as an apartheid country given its make-up and the role that all minorities play—the Muslim Brotherhood sits in government, Muslims are judges, professors, heads of hospitals, banks, and other institutions, and represent the government in diplomatic service, win beauty awards, entertainment awards and access all civic and other services. The only apartheid or “separation” that exists is largely that demanded of the Palestinian Arabs, having ethnically cleansed most of Judea and Samaria and the east side of Jerusalem after the War of Independence, they demand a state that is Judenfrei.
Israel facilitated the creation of Jew-free Gaza by withdrawing from Gaza entirely in 2005, leaving not a single Jew behind. Hamas states in its Charter that it will not end its war against Israel until all the Jews are cleansed of the land and the land is again in Muslim hands. Apartheid???

CAEF has little new to add to what has been well documented and exceptionally well expressed by some very important voices. For more information see quality resources from across the globe:

The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board adds: “The Amnesty report is especially ill-timed in an era when Israel and Arab states are negotiating new deals for commerce and travel since the Abraham Accords. A fair assumption is that Amnesty’s drafters hope to block such progress by inflaming world opinion with the “apartheid” slander. Amnesty also calls on the United Nations to sanction Israel, and the International Criminal Court to investigate and hold Israelis criminally responsible.”

More can be done. Here is how. CAEF urges that Donor Nations, including Canada address six policy challenges, which could guide a new way of UNRWA policy reform:
Ask for an audit of donor funds that flow to UNRWA This would address widespread documented reports of wasted resources, duplicity of services and the undesired flow of cash to Gaza-based terror groups, which gained control over UNRWA operations in Gaza over the past 18 years.
Introduce UNHCR standards to UNRWA to advance the resettlement of Arab refugees, after 67 years. Current UNRWA policy is that refugee resettlement would interfere with the “right of return” to Arab villages that existed before 1948.
Cancel the new UNRWA curriculum which incorporate principles of Jihad, martyrdom and an “right of return” by force of arms, in UN schools which are supposed to promote the UNRWA slogan of “Peace Starts Here.”
Cease paramilitary training in all UNRWA schools UNRWA should demonstrate commitment to UN principles for “peace education”.
Insist that UNRWA dismiss employees who are affiliated with Hamas in accordance with laws on the books in Western nations, which forbid aid to any agency that employs members of a terrorist organization.
Insist that UNRWA cancel its contract with “youth ambassador” Mohammad Assaf to travel the world encouraging violence. Would this not be the appropriate time for donor nations to ask that UNRWA cancel that contract with a harbinger of war?
The Center for Near East Policy Research seeks sponsorship to conduct UNRWA policy reform briefings at those legislative bodies that donate to UNRWA.
Note, the CNEPR is planning to translate its report into English, German, Swedish,French and Portugese. On March 7 CNEPR plans to host an international conference at the Knesset on UNRWA POLICY CHANGE.

The CNEPR has provided CAEF with this report on Peace Now Canada which has bashed Israel, lost its way and strayed from Zionism. “This concerns the January 16 zoom session conducted by Canadians for Peace Now, which hosted Sari Bashi, founder GISHA (“ACCESS”), which conducts campaigns to convey the impression that Israel bars access to seemingly innocuous requests from people to travel, as if there is no real security concern which would mitigate against a policy of open access to Gaza.”
